MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER ON APPEAL OF RULING
BENNETT, District Judge.
As a federal district court judge cogently observed more than a decade ago, “The Magistrate’s Scheduling Order is not a frivolous piece of paper, idly entered, which can be cavalierly disregarded by counsel without peril.” Gestetner Carp. v. Case Equip. Co., 108 F.R.D. 138, 141 (D.Me.1985).
