This is an action arising under the United States antitrust laws, 15 U.S.C. §§ 1, 2, 15, commonly known as the Sherman and Clayton Acts. Plaintiff Interamerican Refining Corporation (Interamerican) alleges that defendants Texaco Maracaibo Inc., formerly the Superior Oil Company of Venezuela (Supven), Monsanto Company (Monsanto), Monsanto Venezuela, Inc.
