This is a direct appeal from a decree of the circuit court of Franklin county. A freehold is involved. Appellees, William T. Simpson and certain other heirs of Elizabeth Simpson, deceased, who will hereinafter be referred to as the Simpson heirs, and others claiming under them, filed the complaint to quiet their title to certain real estate therein described. The land involved is a strip two rods wide off the east side of the north half of the northeast quarter of the northwest quarter, and one rod off the east side of the south…
