We granted certiorari to review a judgment of the court of appeals in Lopez-Samayoa v. Colorado State Board of Medical Examiners, 868 P.2d 1110 (Colo.App.1993). The court of appeals held that Omar Lopez-Samayoa, M.D. (Dr. Lopez), failed to meet generally accepted standards of medical practice in his care of five patients, and remanded the case to the State Board of Medical Examiners (the Board) for reconsideration of the Board’s sanctions against Dr. Lopez.
