The plaintiff, who is the trustee in bankruptcy of one McDonald, has brought this bill in equity to recover amounts collected by the' defendant, Watten-*589dorf & Co. Inc., hereinafter to be referred to as the defendant, on accounts receivable which were assigned to it by McDonald. The bill alleges that the assignments of the accounts constituted voidable preferences under the bankruptcy act. U. S. Code, Title 11, § 96.
