Sometimes one ill-considered decision is all it takes. Unfortunately, this is so for our petitioner, Milena Dimova (“Dimova”). Dimova seeks review of a decision from the Board of Immigration Appeals (“BIA”) finding her removable under the alien smuggling provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act, and ordering her removed to her native Bulgaria. Although the record indicates Dimova was put in a very difficult position by someone she trusted, it also leaves no doubt that she nevertheless knowingly and voluntarily assisted her friends as they attempted to cross…
