T1 We granted a writ of certiorari to review a court of appeals decision affirming the district court's confirmation of an arbitration award in favor of Orton Excavation. Orton served as a subcontractor on a real estate project developed by Pacific Development, L.C. A dispute arose over the amount Pacific owed Orton for work performed, and the parties entered into a written arbitration agreement that described the scope of their dispute by reference to a single plat of land.
