Plaintiff Pierre Paulemon (“Paulemon”) appeals from a judgment of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut (Alfred V. Covello, Judge) granting defendant Joseph M. Tobin’s (“Tobin”) motion, pursuant to Fed.R.Civ.P. 12(b)(6), to dismiss plaintiffs complaint. Judge Covello held that defendant was acting as an attorney on behalf of his client and was therefore not a “debt collector” under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (“FDCPA” or “the Act”). 15 U.S.C. §§ 1692-1692o.
