Doyle Edwards was arrested on September 16, 1982 for driving under the influence, driving with an expired registration, and driving on a revoked license. Mr. Edwards claims that the events following his arrest resulted in the defendants violating his civil rights and he brought this § 1983 action. 42 U.S.C.A. § 1983 (West 1981).
