Defendant-Appellant Rodney Edward Torres (Defendant) appeals from the March 24, 1995 Judgment of the Third Circuit Court (circuit court), convicting him of committing the offense of sexual assault in the first degree against his niece (Complainant), in violation of Hawai'i Revised Statutes (HRS) § 707-730(l)(b) (1993).
