Appellant, J. N. Johnson, filed his bill against appellees, Staple Cotton Co-operative Association and Globe Rutgers Fire Insurance Company, seeking to recover from defendants the sum of twelve thousand seven hundred sixty-eight dollars and forty-five cents for the loss by fire of eighty-two bales of cotton located on his gin yard. The bill alleges that Johnson was a member of the association organized under the laws of the state of Tennessee, a nonstock corporation, organized for the purpose of buying and selling cotton; an association of cotton farmers operating mainly in the Mississippi…
