SHERRY RADACK, Chief Justice.
A jury convicted appellant, Renita Sue Barnes, of class-A misdemeanor criminal mischief for inflicting damage with a pecuniary loss of more than $500, but less than $1,500, on a vehicle owned by the complainant, Jim Gawerc, by striking the vehicle with a tire jack. See Tex. Pen.Code Ann. § 28.03(a)(1), (b)(3)(A)© (Vernon Supp.2006). The trial court placed appellant on community supervision for one year and certified her right to appeal.
