“Love is born lots of different places and it’s not always clean.” This is the statement septuagenarian Barbara Holz expressed to the jury that convicted her of criminal mischief for damage to, or destruction of, a house owned by the United States of America. Eighty-six dogs, many of which were allowed to live, defecate, and urinate in the house for months, were recovered from the property.
