Ronald Stolle, a non-tenure track faculty member in the Department of Finance at Kent State University, sued the university and various administrators alleging retaliation for exercising his First Amendment rights. Summary judgment was granted to Richard Kolbe and John Thornton, based on the court’s finding that Stolle did not suffer an adverse action when he was summoned to meet with Kolbe and Thornton to discuss his violation of university policy.
