The defendant, Salvatore J. Passamano, appeals from the trial court’s denial of his motion to modify certain financial orders entered in connection with a prior judgment dissolving his marriage to the plaintiff, Diane Passamano. He claims that the trial court (1) incorrectly concluded that the prior order to pay the mortgage and real estate taxes on the parties’ jointly owned house constituted a nonmodifiable assignment of property to the plaintiff, and (2) improperly awarded the plaintiff counsel fees to defend this appeal.
