Respondent Regie de 1’assurance Automobile due Quebec (the Regie) 1 commenced an equitable subrogation action against Appellant Lauritz Jensen to recover certain payments it had made to Douglas Grapes, the surviving spouse of Marguerite Grapes who had been killed in a Minnesota automobile accident when riding in a car struck by Jensen’s pickup truck.
