Two appeals from orders denying defendant’s motions in the alternative for judgments notwithstanding the verdicts for plaintiff or for new trials in two actions, which were- tried together, one of which was brought by plaintiff as special administrator of the estate of Lillian Mattfeld to recover damages for her wrongful death, and the other by him individually to recover consequential damages sustained by him as her husband as the result of the injuries from which she died.
