Appellant was charged by indictment with the offense of possessing a controlled substance (cocaine in the amount of less than 28 grams) in Bell County on or about January 6, 1988. After his pretrial motions to suppress evidence and “to bar prosecution because of a prior acquittal” were overruled, the appellant waived trial by jury and entered a plea of guilty before the trial court in accordance with a plea bargain.
