Following a jury trial before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, appellants Buenaventura Martinez, Juan Martinez, Jaime B. Salcedo, and codefendant/appellee Manuel Suarez-O’Neill were convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 846, possession with intent to distribute cocaine in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a)(1) and 18 U.S.C. § 2, and importation of cocaine into the United States in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 952(a) and 960(a)(1) and 18 U.S.C. § 2. 1 The district court…
