The plaintiff, Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company, brought suit against defendants Charles R. Fischer, Commissioner of Insurance of the State of Iowa, John M. Grimes, •Treasurer of the State of Iowa, and C. Fred Porter, Comptroller of the State of Iowa, to compel a refund to it of the sum of $378.10 as insurance-premium taxes paid by plaintiff to defendants under protest on July 14, 1943, and to compel such commissioner to issue to plaintiff a license to carry on its business of writing life insurance in Iowa, and to enjoin siich commissioner from in any manner interfering with the…
