Four of the defendants, William G. Butler, Isadore Warren, Artie Purse, and Willett S. Jull, were convicted in the recorder’s court in the city of Detroit, under an information charging them with having conspired with each other and others to enter into a contract in restraint of trade. Of the other defendants some were discharged by the court at the close of the people’s case, and the others were acquitted by the jury.
