Plaintiff-Appellant Stephanie Odie was an original member of the class of plaintiffs in Betty Dukes, et al. v. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (“Dukes ’’), 1 “one of the most expansive class actions ever” certified in the United States. 2 After many years of litigation over class certification, the Supreme Court decertified the Dukes class in June 2011. 3 Odie then filed the instant putative class action in the Northern District of Texas (“the Texas district court”).
