OPINION OF THE COURT

COOK, Judge:

In accordance with his pleas, the appellant was convicted by a general court-mar*89tial before a military judge alone, of the possession and sale of heroin, in violation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 934. He was sentenced to reduction to private (E-l), total forfeitures, confinement at hard, labor for 19 months, and a bad-conduct discharge. Pursuant to the terms of a pretrial agreement, the convening authority reduced the period of confinement to 12 months and approved the findings and remaining sentence. The United States Army…
