I. Introduction
Plaintiffs Lego A/S and Lego Systems, Inc. (collectively “Lego”) have manufactured toys called “minifigures” since 1978.1 Lego’s minifigures depict people, all having the same shape but varying two-dimensional representations of facial features and clothing styles on the head and torso respectively.
