This is an action brought principally under the Copyright Act, with pendent state law claims. The copyrighted artifacts are manufactured plastic toys called “minifigures,” designed to be attachable to construction blocks forming part of the toy. Plaintiffs and Defendant compete in global markets for the design, manufacture, distribution and sale of minifigures.
