— This action was instituted at the relation of A. J. Bryant by the attorney-general of the state, in the name of the people, to cause the removal from a tract of land, designated upon the map of the city and county of San Francisco as Lafayette Park, certain buildings and fences maintained thereon by the defendants. The complaint alleges that the land in question was “heretofore, to wit, on the eleventh day of March, A.
