Maria Déla Cruz (Cruz), one of seven defendants, appeals from a declaratory judgment of the circuit court of Lake County. Plaintiff, Allied American Insurance Company, brought the declaratory judgment action to determine its liability in an underlying personal injury suit arising from an automobile accident. Cruz brought the personal injury suit individually and on behalf of her minor daughter who was injured in the accident.
