MEMORANDUM OF OPINION AS AMENDED TO CORRECT TYPOGRAPHICAL ERROR ON NOVEMBER 13,1997

I. INTRODUCTION

The United States Trustee brought a motion to-dismiss each of these chapter 7 cases pursuant to § 707 of the Bankruptcy Code. 11 U.S.C. § 707 (1994). 1 Each of the three debtors incurred substantial credit-card debt shortly prior to filing their respective bankruptcy petitions. The United States Trustee argues that the debtors have engaged in credit-card abuse and, therefore, that the cases should be dismissed under § 707.
