This action stems from the defendant’s alleged wrongful denial of the plaintiffs claim for long-term disability benefits. The plaintiff has asserted two state-law causes of action and a cause of action under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (“ERISA”), 28 U.S.C. §§ 1001-1191c.
