for the Court.

Barbara Calise (Calise) and David Calise (collectively plaintiffs) appeal the entry of judgment as a matter of law as to negligence by a trial justice in favor of William Curtin (Curtin) and the State of Rhode Island (collectively defendants). 1 Arnica Mutual Insurance Company (Arnica) brought this subrogation action in the Superior Court in the name of plaintiffs, their policyholders.
