In these consolidated cases, Michael Nichols and Richard L. Crane (together *1070referred to as “petitioners”) appeal from final judgments entered in the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri dismissing their respective petitions for writs of habeas corpus filed pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254.
