VAN FLEET, District Judge.

This is a suit brought by the United States attorney in pursuance of section 15 of the Naturalization Act of 1906 (34 Stats, at F. p. 596, c. 3592) to cancel and set aside a certificate of naturalization issued to the defendant on November 5, 1914, both on the ground of fraud in its procurement, in that defendant *786was not at the time of good moral character, and that it was illegally granted, in that the method of proof followed in the state court issuing the certificate was in violation, of the requirements of the act.
