*231Daronta Bell pleaded guilty pursuant to North Carolina v. Alford , 400 U.S. 25, 91 S.Ct. 160, 27 L.Ed.2d 162 (1970) to two counts of armed robbery and two counts aggravated assault. In his pro se appeal, Bell argues that the trial court erred in failing to merge his aggravated assault convictions with his armed robbery convictions, that the trial court erred in denying his plea in bar and motion to dismiss the indictment, and that he received ineffective assistance of counsel.
