Claimant, Richard Urbanski, filed two applications for adjustment of claim under the Workers’ Compensation Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 48, par. 138.1 et seq.) for injuries he sustained while working for two unrelated respondents, S.J. Groves, Inc. (Groves), on July 22, 1986, and Deichmueller Construction Company (Deichmueller) on July 23, 1986. The claimant’s applications were consolidated for hearing before the arbitrator.
