Appeal from a judgment of the superior court for Thurston county, Mitchell, J., entered May 19, 1916, upon findings in favor of the defendant, in an action on promissory notes, tried to the court.

— The complaint in this case states two causes of action, the basis of each being a promissory note. The two notes are dated February 28, 1912, and March 7, 1912, and are in the amounts of $100 and $150, respectively. Each is signed, “The Shelton Electric Company, by Jos. E. Wickstrom, Prest. Attest: Chas. L. Shotts, Secy.,” and is payable “to the order of Joseph E. Wickstrom Company at any bank or trust company, on demand, two years after date.” The notes were indorsed: “Joseph E. Wickstrom Co. by W. J. Wickstrom, Pres, and Treas. Jos. E. Wickstrom, Secy.” The notes are identical excepting…
