Petition discloses that applicant was indicted, pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to life imprisonment for the crime of murder, by the Polk County District Court in 1933. No appeal was taken.

On the 12th day of July, 1963, the petitioner filed an application for a writ of habeas corpus in the office of the Clerk of the District Court of Lee County, Iowa, and on the same day the petition was denied by the court, primarily for the reason that his petition did not comply with the requirements of chapter 663, Code, 1962.
