This is an appeal from a judgment of the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas granting defendant’s motion for a directed verdict. The facts of this case are as follows.

Plaintiffs-appellants, Alan and Marian Shapiro, filed this action against defendant-appellee, Dr. Harold Burkons for damages resulting from appellee’s alleged negligent failure to diagnose Marian Shapiro’s breast cancer. Between 1961 and 1972, appellant Marian Shapiro saw appellee Dr. Harold Burkons, an OB-GYN specialist, for gynecological care.
