Alexander Bortnovsky and Leonid Braz appeal from their judgments of conviction entered on September 15, 1988 for conspiracy to conduct the affairs of an enterprise through a pattern of racketeering in violation of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (“RICO”), 18 U.S.C. § 1962(d) (count one); participation in the affairs of an enterprise through a pattern of racketeering in violation of § 1962(c) of RICO (count two); and mail fraud in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1341 (count nine).
