HORTON, Justice.
This is an appeal by Albert Ciccone from his convictions for first and second degree murder. We dismiss this appeal because his notice of appeal was untimely.
I. FACTUAL AND PROCEDURAL BACKGROUND
Ciccone was charged with two counts of first-degree murder for striking his pregnant wife, Kathleen Ciccone, with his ear, thereby killing both her and her unborn child. On January 26, 2005, a jury found Ciccone guilty of first-degree murder for killing his wife and guilty of second-degree murder for killing her fetus.
