CHRISTIE, District Judge:

Plaintiffs, employees of Buffalo Mining Company (Buffalo), on behalf of themselves and others similarly situated, instituted this class action against the Secretary of the Department of Labor, Buffalo, and Lorado Super Market, Inc. (Lorado), complaining that the deduction from their wages by Buffalo of amounts owed by plaintiffs to Lorado violates the provisions of § 1 of the Civil Rights Act of 1871 (now 42 U.S.C. § 1983), as well as the provisions of Title III of the Consumer Credit Protection Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1671 et seq.
