Carl W. Walton commenced this action in July 1996, claiming that McDonnell Douglas Corporation (“MDC”) violated the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, 29 U.S.C. §§ 621 et seq. (“ADEA”), and the Missouri Human Rights Act, Mo.Rev.Stat. §§ 218.010 et seq. (“MHRA”), when it terminated him in April 1995 as part of a reduction in force (hereafter referred to as a “RIF”).
