Plaintiff Rebekah Efird, a former deputy sheriff of Cabarrus County, has sued Defendants, alleging sex discrimination and retaliation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq. (“Title VII”); and state law claims for negligent supervision/retention, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful discharge in violation of public policy.
