In this action instituted in the Circuit Court of Kanawha County, West Virginia, the plaintiff, Beneficial Finance Company of Charleston, a corporation, sought to recover from the defendants, Woodrow Collins and Irene Collins, husband and wife, a certain sum of money which it alleged was due and owing on a promissory note signed by the defendants.
