These applications are brought before this court upon orders to show cause why the petitioners should not have leave to file informations in the nature of quo warranto against Francis B. Bailey and Stephen Mahoney, present acting judge and special judge of the municipal court of the city of Minneapolis. The petitioners •claim to have been elected as the successors in office of Bailey and Mahoney, respectively, at the city election held in April, 1887.
