Jesus Ramon Cardenas-Uriarte (“Cardenas”) petitions for review of the Board of Immigration Appeals’ (“BIA’s”) determination that he is deportable under section 212(a)(2)(B) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (“INA”), 8 U.S.C. § 1182(a)(2)(B), and ineligible for a waiver of deportation under section 212(c) of the INA, 8 U.S.C. § 1182(c) (repealed in 1996), by virtue of recent amendments to the immigration laws. The government counters that we lack jurisdiction under section 309(c)(4)(G) of the Illegal Immigrant Reform and Immigration Responsibility Act…
