Ellen J. Whitmore of Brunswick died on the eleventh day of October, 1922, leaving a will written by herself, dated *94June 30, 1909. The plaintiff as administrator with the will annexed of her estate brings this bill for instructions in the performance of his duties. Two questions are presented.

First. The testatrix owned at the time of her death one hundred seventy-one shares of the capital stock of the Sagamore Manufacturing Company, a Massachusetts corporation; her will contains inter alia the following provisions:
