Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the County Court, Westchester County (Zambelli, J.), rendered March 29, 2011, convicting him of murder in the second degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

The defendant’s wife disappeared on October 3, 2008. Approximately three weeks later, the defendant confessed to a friend, over the course of several conversations recorded by the police, that he had knocked his wife unconscious with a piece of wood and then burned her body in a 55-gallon drum in his backyard until there was nothing left of it.
