Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Suffolk County (D’Amaro, J.), rendered August 2, 1984, convicting him of three counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Judgment affirmed. -

As a result of a pretrial Sandoval hearing (People v Sandoval, 34 NY2d 371), the prosecutor was permitted to cross-examine the defendant with respect to two of his prior convictions, including a very limited inquiry into the underlying *737facts thereof.
