This appeal arose out of a fee dispute between two members of the Massachusetts bar, Mr. Dane M. Shul man and Mr. Emidio DiLoreto. We summarize the underlying facts, as set forth in the record, including the affidavits submitted by the parties. 2
Between 1967 and 1989, DiLoreto and Shulman maintained a professional relationship under an oral agreement, the precise contours of which are in dispute.
