This was an action in trespass by plaintiffs, husband and wife, against the city of Scranton to recover damages for injuries suffered by the wife as the result of a fall on a defective sidewalk at the dividing line between two properties. The city, the original defendant, by writs of scire facias brought upon the record the additional defendants, John McLane and William Wallace, owners of adjoining properties abutting on the sidewalk where the accident occurred. On trial the court gave binding instructions in favor of the defendant McLane; the jury found separate verdicts…
